Remote Senior Mobile Engineer, Android

Description:

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot mobile applications for MoveHQ's mobile platform, focusing on stability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead the development of mobile features using Kotlin, Android Jetpack, and frameworks like Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate on technical designs, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and product requirements.
• Proactively identify and resolve challenges in the codebase to improve application performance and reliability.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices and foster a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
• Contribute to discussions on architecture and system design for long-term maintainability and security.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for mobile codebases to ensure smooth integration and rapid delivery.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience in mobile development with a focus on Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Proficiency in building, shipping, and maintaining highly performant and scalable mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with Android SDK, REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and testing tools like JUnit or Espresso.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address technical challenges effectively.
• Experience with relational databases like SQLite and Room for local storage and caching.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting technical solutions and collaborating with stakeholders.
