Description:

  • Skimmer is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to develop and maintain the Skimmer Mobile app for iOS and Android platforms.
  • The role involves building new features and functionality based on UI/UX mockups and detailed work items provided by the Product Team.
  • Ensuring the app remains up-to-date and compatible with new OS versions is crucial.
  • Implementing best-practice patterns like MVVM and functional programming, as well as design patterns and solutions provided by the Architecture team.
  • Collaborating with the Architecture team to modernize the back-end API and testing features and bug fixes before handoff to QA are key responsibilities.
  • Writing code meeting production requirements and company standards, ensuring it is regression-free, properly documented, and unit tested.
  • The position also emphasizes having a kickass time while working.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Xamarin, Xamarin.Forms, and MAUI development experience are required.
  • Experience working in Azure and strong C#/.NET development experience are essential.
  • Proficiency in best-practice API design, MVVM frameworks (especially ReactiveUI), and unit testing frameworks like NUnit/XUnit is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and the capability to translate intricate business objectives into technical solutions are mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills, a passion for the Microsoft .NET stack and Distributed Systems, and knowledge of Agile development methodologies are also needed.
