  • Our mobile apps are the heart of our product ecosystem, providing drivers with guidance on their routes and support.
  • As a senior engineer, you will contribute to the engineering team's codebase and culture.
  • You will join a team of 2 senior mobile engineers and help build company culture, development processes, and the development roadmap.
  • You will have the opportunity to influence transportation innovation and set company direction.
  • Responsibilities include building real-time collaborative routing applications, iterating towards a self-driven product, and delivering an exceptional experience on our mobile apps (Driver App in Kotlin and Parent App in Flutter).
  • You will develop innovative features for tracking students and explore integration with hardware such as NFC scanners and vehicle telematics.
  • You will work with a mature, interdisciplinary dev team and be in direct contact with the community of users.
  • Participation in brainstorming sessions, technical scopings, and customer feedback forums is expected.

Requirements:

  • You must have at least 5 years of professional experience in mobile development.
  • You should be highly proficient in Kotlin, with experience in building and maintaining large-scale applications.
  • A deep understanding of SOLID principles and their application in software development is required.
  • Experience with commonly used design patterns in mobile application development is necessary.
  • You must have hands-on experience with reactive programming frameworks such as RxJava or Kotlin Flow.
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles and a user-centric development approach is essential.
  • Experience in building routing, mapping, or navigation solutions in previous projects is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is necessary.
  • You should be able to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance while taking ownership of projects.
  • Proactivity in identifying and solving problems is expected.
  • You must challenge existing solutions and assumptions to drive better outcomes.
  • Effective communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is required.
  • You should thrive in cross-functional teams and understand the perspectives and needs of other departments.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies is essential for continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability to changing requirements or priorities in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
  • Understanding the ethical implications of your work and advocating for responsible practices is important.
  • A strong sense of ownership and understanding of how your work contributes to the company’s larger vision is required.
  • You must embody the company values.
