Remote Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native/Typescript)

Description:

• The Senior Mobile Engineer will be responsible for helping to build the best platform for learning and teaching Data Science.
• They will contribute significantly to the technical direction of the learn product.
• Working with the latest front and backend technologies to solve challenging problems will be a key part of the role.
• Improving existing learning features and building new ones from scratch will be essential.
• Taking ownership over several components in the microservices architecture is required.
• Close interaction with team members to build scalable solutions is a crucial aspect of the position.
• The Senior Mobile Engineer will also be responsible for inspiring and growing the engineers around them through support, coaching, and mentoring.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 5+ years of web development experience building world-class products using ReactJS, GraphQL, and NodeJS on both frontend and backend applications.
• Practical experience with strongly-typed languages such as TypeScript is necessary.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, performant, and testable code is required.
• Demonstrated ownership of a product or feature is essential.
• Passion for product development and the ability to empathize with customers and their problems is a must.
• Enjoyment in solving challenging technical problems is a key requirement.
• Highly organized with a flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness/aptitude for learning.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a results-oriented mindset.
• Interest in data science and education is preferred.
