The Senior Mobile Software Developer role focuses on the development, design, and implementation of product features and enhancements.
The position requires a solid understanding of the business, product development lifecycle, and experience in implementing enterprise-class software.
The developer will create elegant mobile solutions and solve complex business problems by collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities include working with product owners and UX design teams to define feature specifications and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
The role involves developing well-architected features for scalability and flexibility using modern software engineering tools.
The developer will design and develop front-end applications, APIs, and backend systems, as well as refactor and optimize code for improved performance and maintainability.
The position requires supporting the software development code to keep operations functioning.
Information security responsibilities include complying with Viamericas’ Staff Information Security Policy and reporting any potential security incidents.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IS, IT, or a related field is desirable.
Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to develop solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with experience working with peers and senior executives.
A desired English proficiency level of C2 is necessary.
At least five years of experience in software development is required.
Proficiency in React Native and ReactJS, with fluency in JavaScript and ES6, is a must.
Experience in mobile development for iOS and Android is essential.
Knowledge of react libraries like Redux, MobX, and FlexBox is preferable.
Familiarity with mobile development best practices and user experience is required.
Experience with HTML5, CSS, AWS, and non-SQL databases is desirable.
Candidates should have experience with API integration and web services.
Experience in an Agile environment is ideal, along with knowledge of frameworks like Vite and Gatsby.
Understanding of test-driven development and maintaining a “clean code” mindset is necessary.
