Remote Senior .Net & Database Developer - Data Migration

Description:

• RecruitGo is seeking a Senior .Net & Database Developer - Data Migration to lead complex, high-volume data migration projects.
• The role involves planning, designing, and executing large-scale data migration initiatives while ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
• The developer will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze legacy systems, define data mapping and transformation logic, and develop robust ETL pipelines.
• As a senior member of an Agile/Scrum team, the developer will partner with Solution Architects, Developers, and QA professionals for seamless project delivery.
• Responsibilities include writing, reviewing, and optimizing C# and SQL Server-based migration scripts and WinForms utilities.
• The position also involves mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• The developer will research and implement emerging tools, practices, and automation techniques to enhance migration scalability and maintainability.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data migration or a similar .NET/database development role.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ADO.NET/Entity Framework, T-SQL, and performance tuning in SQL Server is essential.
• Experience in delivering end-to-end ETL solutions, including data cleansing, validation, and transformation, is required.
• A solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, a passion for clean, accurate data, and high attention to detail are important.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, mentoring mindset are required.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or other cloud-based data integration platforms is preferred.
• Experience with web technologies such as Web API, MVC, and .NET Core is advantageous.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud data services is a plus.
• Knowledge of TDD, dependency injection, and SOLID design principles is beneficial.
• Comfort in a CI/CD environment using Git, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, or Octopus Deploy is preferred.
• Experience with SaaS or multi-tenant application environments is a plus.
