Description:

The Senior Network Automation Engineer role is a permanent or fixed-term position with flexible working hours.
The engineer will lead network automation initiatives, developing and implementing automated solutions for next-generation network infrastructure.
Responsibilities include creating scalable automation frameworks for Business as Usual (BAU) product releases, focusing on Access Networks, 5G, XGSPON, FWA, and IoT implementations.
The role involves collaborating with Senior Network Architects and cross-functional teams to deliver automated network solutions.
Daily tasks include designing software solutions for automated network operations, maintaining systems for network data validation, expanding user-facing systems, creating technical specifications, leading automated testing procedures, mentoring team members, driving continuous improvement, and supporting troubleshooting of network automation issues.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities are essential.
The ability to work independently and show initiative is required.
A passion for network automation and staying updated with industry trends is necessary.
A proven track record of delivering complex technical projects is expected.
Significant experience in network engineering with automation is required.
Strong programming skills and understanding of software development practices are essential.
Experience in creating user-facing systems and backend scripting is necessary.
Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines is required.
Practical experience with network source of truth systems and vendor automation platforms is essential.
A strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including routing, switching, and security, is required.
Essential qualifications include Python certification, a proven track record in network engineering/automation, expertise in network automation frameworks, a portfolio of automation projects, and experience with Django web framework development.
