Description:

Lambda is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to help scale its high-performance cloud network.
The role involves contributing to the reproducible automation of network configuration and deployments.
The engineer will assist in the implementation of software-defined networks.
Responsibilities include managing Spine and Leaf networks and ensuring high availability of the network through monitoring, failover, and redundancy.
The position requires ensuring clients have predictable networking performance using QoS and other applicable technologies.
The engineer will also help with deploying and maintaining network monitoring and management tools.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience with complex networks.
Experience leading the implementation of production-scale networking projects is required.
Proficiency in managing BGP is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with Spine and Leaf (Clos) network topology.
Experience with multi-data center networks and hybrid cloud networks is essential.
Candidates must have experience building and maintaining Software Defined Networks (SDN).
Operating BGP EVPN VXLAN networks is a requirement.
Comfort with the Linux command line and an understanding of the Linux networking stack is necessary.
Python programming experience is required.
