Description:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining customer network infrastructure.
This role involves handling escalations related to incidents, projects, or requests for managed services customers.
The engineer will communicate the status of incident tickets and service requests to customers and internal teams as defined by service level agreements (SLAs).
Responsibilities include performing baseline network administration tasks such as MACDs related to firewall, routing, switching, IPSEC, VPCs, SD-WAN, Load Balancer, and Authentication servers.
The position requires a working knowledge of APIC/ACI and leading technical troubleshooting of critical network outages.
The engineer will also perform incident management on various issues impacting network infrastructure and execute routine and emergency maintenance processes.
Additional duties include troubleshooting with carriers and vendors, contributing to configuration and performance tuning, building and maintaining documentation, and providing support and cross-training to team members.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 12+ years of experience with operational administration of network infrastructure.
A minimum of 9 years working with monitoring platforms is required, with LogicMonitor being a plus.
At least 6 years of experience with operational administration of Cisco and Palo Alto infrastructure is necessary.
Candidates should have 4+ years of experience with operational administration of NetScaler infrastructure.
Experience with GlobalProtect, AnyConnect, and FortiClient is required.
Advanced experience with Cisco ISE, BGP/EIGRP/OSPF, FMC + FTD/ASA is essential.
A strong background in enterprise routing and switching technologies, as well as knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, is needed.
Experience with multiple enterprise LAN, SD-WAN, and WAN topologies is required.
Candidates should possess strong leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required, along with desired certifications such as CCIE R&S or Security, PCNSE, or equivalent.
