Description:
- The senior Network Engineer will be part of a remote team and can be based anywhere within the Netherlands.
- Responsible for deploying, operating, monitoring, and supporting the Zscaler worldwide production network inside multiple data centers.
- Operating enterprise or telecom data center networks.
- Participation in on-call rotation on weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
- Experience working with ticketing and inventory systems.
- Experience in remote Data Centre operations.
- 5 or more years of experience with high-speed fiber Ethernet networks.
- Expert level hands-on experience in BGP routing operation, design, and troubleshooting in both IPv4 and IPv6 for large scale Enterprise or Telecom networks.
- Deep knowledge of DNS, HTTPS, GRE, and IPsec protocols with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
- Real-life experience troubleshooting L2 and L3 Ethernet networks.
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts including performance parameters of TCP/IP stack and hands-on experience of IP-packet analysis using Wireshark.
- Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux/FreeBSD, and Network equipment and the functions they perform.
