Remote Senior Network Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Network Engineer with Cologix, you will be responsible for assisting in the engineering, design, and maintenance of a large datacenter network.
• You will evaluate and maintain traffic flows across transit and backbone links.
• The role includes providing Tier III support for network-related problems and troubleshooting the backbone network.
• You will evaluate new technologies as needed and respond to trouble tickets and customer calls that are escalated.
• The position involves hardware installations of network infrastructure and turning up high-touch customer deployments.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4-8 years of experience as a network engineer is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills along with a strong customer service mentality are essential.
• Strong analytical and effective problem-solving skills are necessary.
• You should be able to manage assigned tasks and projects with little supervision.
• A quick learner who can adapt to changing requirements is preferred.
• Proven experience working in a team-based environment is required.
• You must be a self-starter with good time management skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing is essential.
• A diplomatic and positive approach to interacting with employees is necessary.
• Punctuality, reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to work additional hours when necessary are required.
