Remote Senior Network Engineer

Description:

• Zscaler is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their global network engineering team.
• The role involves deploying, operating, monitoring, and supporting network infrastructures inside multiple datacentres.
• The engineer will act as the L3 technical escalation contact during high severity or critical incidents.
• Responsibilities include conducting peer reviews on configuration/change scripts to ensure validity.
• The position requires providing technical guidance to the team on network-related issues.
• Participation in an on-call rotation is mandatory.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required.
• U.S. citizenship is necessary due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.
• Candidates must have experience working with ticketing and inventory systems in remote Data Center operations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with high-speed copper and fiber Ethernet switch networks, including Layer-2 spanning-tree protocols and Layer-3 BGP protocols, is required.
• Hands-on experience in BGP routing operation, design, and troubleshooting in both IPv4 and IPv6 for large-scale Enterprise or Telecom networks is essential.
