Remote Senior Network Engineer (US IT Services, Home-based)

Description:

• The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for Level 1-3 systems/network troubleshooting and helpdesk support work.
• Daily tasks will involve hands-on interaction with networks, systems, cloud, voice, and users.
• They will assist senior engineers with support and projects, play a major role in monitoring and managing customers, and maintain proper managed services monitoring.
• Onboarding of new client network infrastructure and following changes of client systems closely to reflect on the monitoring platform will be part of the responsibilities.
• The engineer will monitor active issues, alert client-side personnel, troubleshoot, and escalate when necessary.
• Fulfilling certification and training roadmap as set forth by senior staff and management is required.
• The position may require working outside of standard business hours as needed, such as scheduled firmware updates.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware (ESXi, vCenter), Storage (SANs), Azure virtual machines, storage, and networking, as well as AWS EC2, EBS, and VPC.
• Nice to have industry certifications in HPE, AWS, Azure, Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, and VMware.
• Experience with VDI using Citrix, Linux servers (Ubuntu Server, RedHat, CentOS), switching & routing technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba), and NAC technologies (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Microsoft NPS).
