Description:

  • Smarsh empowers its customers to manage risk and unleash intelligence in their digital communications.
  • The Senior Network & Security Cloud Architect will design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure high standards of security, scalability, and performance.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing, network design, and security best practices.
  • The architect will lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Responsibilities include teaching, leading, and learning from others in the company.
  • The role involves protecting critical assets and ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Contributions will impact the development of secure, scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Infrastructure from Code (IfC) solutions.
  • The architect will lead the design and evolution of Smarsh's cloud network architecture.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining network diagrams, documentation, and standards.
  • The architect will optimize network performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Participation in customer discussions and collaboration with technical product management is required.
  • The role includes designing and implementing comprehensive security architectures and controls.
  • Conducting security assessments, risk analyses, and penetration testing is essential.
  • Collaboration with Infosec and security organizations for policy adherence is necessary.
  • The architect will integrate security into all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Responsibilities include designing secure network connectivity between cloud environments and on-premises data centers.
  • The architect will leverage cloud-native networking services to optimize performance and security.
  • Monitoring network traffic and implementing optimizations is part of the role.
  • The architect will contribute to incident response plans and lead incident response efforts.
  • Continuous monitoring of the threat landscape and proactive risk mitigation is required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in network and security architecture, specifically focused on AWS cloud.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS networking and security services, including AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Direct Connect, and others.
  • Proficiency in network security protocols such as IPSec and SSL/TLS, and experience with IDS/IPS.
  • Familiarity with Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technologies and SIEM solutions.
  • Critical understanding of Terraform for managing and provisioning infrastructure.
  • Strong focus on integrating infrastructure management through DevOps processes.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills are required.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
