Remote Senior Network Security Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will focus on DataCenter network and web application firewall.
• You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and operating the network and security infrastructure.
• Your role involves planning, implementation, and operation of the network infrastructure in the DataCenter, including both physical and virtual network components.
• You will configure, manage, and maintain web application firewalls (WAF) to protect web applications against security threats.
• Conducting regular security reviews and audits to ensure compliance with security policies will be part of your responsibilities.
• You will identify, analyze, and mitigate network and security issues.
• Development and implementation of security measures and protocols for network management will be required.
• You will collaborate with the operations team to integrate network and security solutions.
• Using tools like MS Visio, Jira, Confluence, and DrawIO for documentation and project management will be necessary.
• You will conduct release tests in the lab environment to verify network and security configurations before deployment in production systems.
• Documenting proven procedures and instructions for the operations team to ensure efficient and error-free implementation of network security solutions is expected.
• Practical experience with web application firewalls and a deep understanding of network security principles, especially with Imperva WAF technology, is essential.

Requirements:

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification is required.
• Solid experience in network and security engineering, preferably in DataCenter environments, is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with web application firewalls and a deep understanding of network security principles, especially with Imperva WAF technology, is essential.
• Experience in working with MS Visio, Jira, Confluence, and DrawIO is required.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively solve complex problems are necessary.
• You must be a team player with strong communication skills and a high degree of self-organization.
• Proficiency in German at B2+ level and English at B1+ level is required.
