Description:

Bixal is a consulting company based in Fairfax, VA, focused on helping governments and organizations deliver better services and experiences.
The Senior Next.JS/React Engineer will work remotely from anywhere in the USA and must be legally authorized to work in the US, as Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship.
The role involves collaborating with team members and stakeholders to design and redesign websites for clients.
Responsibilities include architecting and implementing technology solutions using JavaScript, React, CSS, SASS, and other front-end technologies.
The engineer will create secure data flows, implement redux, and collaborate with UX/UI, Content, and Delivery teams.
Additional tasks include writing and maintaining unit tests, reviewing pull requests, developing responsive user interface components, troubleshooting front-end applications, and documenting changes.
The engineer will also create and maintain component libraries and mentor other team members.

Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant experience is required.
Candidates must have a portfolio showcasing at least two professional applications with code samples and implementation discussions.
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages is essential.
Familiarity with REACT tools such as React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux is required.
Knowledge of performance testing frameworks like Mocha and Jest is necessary.
Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software is expected.
Candidates must demonstrate proactivity and attention to detail.
The ability to undergo and pass a public trust clearance is mandatory.
