• Mango Languages is seeking a visionary Senior NLP Linguist and AI Engineer with a passion for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI/Deep Learning.
• The role involves assisting in the research and development of an AI-enabled future for the organization, which aims to revolutionize language learning through cutting-edge technology.

• The successful candidate will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and linguists to create effective and engaging language learning software.
• Responsibilities include researching and procuring NLP libraries and APIs, prompt engineering and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs), and using AI/NLP to create content efficiently while maintaining pedagogical standards.
• The role also involves multilingual textual analysis, synthesizing AI and NLP technologies for innovative language learning experiences, and mentoring others on best practices in deep learning and NLP.
• Additional duties may include participation in cross-functional projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computational Linguistics or a related field with equivalent practical experience is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering and coding with Python.
• Advanced experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) is essential.
• The ability to use, adapt, and extend approaches from scientific literature relevant to NLP is necessary.
• Knowledge of multilingual textual analysis, including morphological analysis, syntactic analysis, lemmatization, and automatic speech recognition is required.
• Experience collaborating with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to apply NLP approaches positively impacting users is needed.
• Familiarity with experimental design, research methodologies, and qualitative and quantitative analysis is important.
• Experience interacting with cloud-based LLMs through APIs, especially OpenAI models, is required.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills in a technical context are essential.
• Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment is necessary.
