Remote Senior Node.js Backend Developer

Description:

• Oowlish is seeking a Senior Node.js Backend Developer to join their team in Brazil, with remote work options available.
• The role involves building and scaling backend services for a mental health care platform.
• Responsibilities include designing and developing robust backend systems and scalable APIs (REST/GraphQL), optimizing PostgreSQL queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• The candidate will contribute to architectural discussions focused on performance, scalability, and security, and mentor junior developers.
• Support for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure is also part of the role.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 3+ years of experience with Node.js and NestJS.
• A minimum of 3–4 years of professional experience with TypeScript is required.
• The candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on work with PostgreSQL.
• A minimum of 4+ years in API development (REST and/or GraphQL) is necessary.
• Solid experience in software architecture and designing scalable systems is essential.
• Nice-to-have qualifications include exposure to React or Next.js, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
