Description:
Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC (ISC) is seeking a Senior Node.js Backend Developer to work remotely.
The company is a technology and data-driven commercial insurance wholesaler focused on innovation.
The role involves developing robust APIs and microservices, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring application security and scalability.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in Node.js development, experience with AWS technologies, and a strong background in API development and database integration.
The position requires collaboration within a cross-functional team and a deep understanding of user experience, data, and AI/ML.
Responsibilities include designing and developing APIs and microservices, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, writing clean code, documenting APIs, writing tests, and ensuring security measures.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, 5+ years of Node.js experience, proficiency in SQL and No-SQL databases, and experience with AWS cloud technologies.
Preferred qualifications include exposure to AWS Serverless Technologies, containerization technologies, and modern front-end technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or formal training in software engineering with 7+ years of applied experience.
5+ years of Node.js experience with expertise in Node.js 18.x+ and at least one framework like Nest.js or Express.
Proficiency in SQL and No-SQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and writing clean code following best practices.
Experience with AWS cloud technologies such as EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, DynamoDB, and IAM.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for gathering business requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with unit and integration testing tools like Jest, Mocha, Chai.
