Description:

Koombea is seeking a Senior NodeJS Developer to join their team remotely in Latin America.
The role requires building web applications or APIs using NodeJS/NestJS while ensuring best practices and performance.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining backend systems, designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices, optimizing data storage solutions, and maintaining code quality.
The candidate will also implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Requirements:

The candidate must have 5+ years of experience with Node.js.
Experience working with AWS is required.
The candidate should have experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Experience with NoSQL and relational databases is necessary.
The candidate must have experience working with WebSockets.
A willingness to stay up to date with new technologies and libraries is essential.
A strong focus on well-tested, clean code is required.
Experience with AI technologies, including Cursor, Windsurf, and AWS Bedrock, is required.
Familiarity with other backend languages or frameworks like PHP or Ruby is a nice to have.
Experience working with CI and CD pipelines is a nice to have.
Experience with ExpressJS and other popular Node.js libraries and frameworks is a nice to have.
Experience with JS frameworks such as React or Vue is a nice to have.
