Remote Senior Node.js Engineer (with PHP background)

Description:

• Playson is seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer with a PHP background to join their team.
• The role involves working on microservices to handle high-load volumes and making tech decisions.
• The successful candidate must have strong development experience in Node.js and a basic understanding of Typescript or Javascript.
• Previous experience with PHP and troubleshooting/debugging PHP applications is required.
• Knowledge of OOP, OOD principles, and experience in applying them is a must.
• Experience with RDBMs or CDBMs is necessary.
• Additional qualifications include understanding of Async and Multithreading approaches, experience with Cloud solutions, knowledge of message broker systems, and understanding of application security standards.
• Responsibilities include rewriting old codebase from PHP to Node.js, back-end development, delivering the product roadmap, handling complex problems, and ensuring high coding standards.

Requirements:

• Strong development experience in Node.js.
• Basic understanding of Typescript or Javascript.
• Previous experience with PHP and strong knowledge of language-specific features.
• Troubleshooting and debugging PHP applications.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, OOD principles, and experience in applying them.
• Experience with the development of production-ready solutions.
• Experience with RDBMs (MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.) or CDBMs (Redshift, ClickHouse etc.).
• Understanding of Async and Multithreading approaches.
• Experience with Cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Knowledge of message broker systems.
• Understanding of application security and industry standards and best practices.
