Description:

  • Quansight is seeking a fully remote Senior Open Source Infrastructure Engineer to enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of their cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • The role involves supporting Quansight's infrastructure, addressing client support issues, exploring Cloud and DevOps technologies, and collaborating with the infrastructure team.
  • Responsibilities include contributing to nebari, an open-source Data Science platform, participating in upstream open-source communities, deploying and ensuring the reliable operation of infrastructure, and collaborating with a distributed team.
  • The position requires experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, running production workloads in major cloud platforms, developing tools in Python, building CI/CD pipelines, modern software engineering practices, containerizing applications, and working independently.
  • Candidates should have experience collaborating via online platforms, receiving feedback constructively, and ideally working on geographically distributed teams or contributing to open-source projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Cloudformation.
  • Proficiency in running production workloads in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ability to develop tools in Python and build CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with modern software engineering practices and containerizing applications.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating via online platforms.
  • Experience with receiving feedback constructively and ideally working on geographically distributed teams or contributing to open-source projects.
