Description:
True Zero Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Palo Alto Networks Engineer to join their Security Resilience β Security Engineering Team.
This position is 100% remote and based in Kansas, USA.
The role involves the design, implementation, administration, and support of Palo Alto Networks security solutions across the enterprise environment.
Responsibilities include designing, configuring, and maintaining Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama management system, GlobalProtect VPN, and other related security solutions.
The engineer will develop and implement security policies, rules, and objects to ensure optimal network protection and performance.
Monitoring and analyzing network traffic, security events, and logs to identify and mitigate potential threats is a key responsibility.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Palo Alto Networks solutions with other security tools and infrastructure components.
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members is expected.
Participation in project planning, implementation, and documentation efforts is required.
Staying up-to-date with the latest Palo Alto Networks technologies, best practices, and security trends is essential.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to Palo Alto Networks products and services is part of the job.
The engineer will contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and procedures.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect, and related technologies is necessary.
Proven expertise in network security principles, protocols, and best practices is essential.
A strong understanding of network architectures, routing, and switching concepts is required.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills are required.
Strong communication and documentation abilities are essential.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is necessary.
Additional preferred qualifications include experience with cloud security solutions, knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools, familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices, understanding of compliance frameworks, and Zero Trust Architecture experience.
