Remote Senior Payments Backend Engineer (Node.js/Typescript)

Description:

• Deel is seeking a Senior Payments Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team.
• The role involves being part of a cross-functional team that includes Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals.
• Responsibilities include participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, collaborating to develop new features and APIs, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience with the products.
• The engineer will design and implement payment processing systems, integrate banking APIs and payment gateways, and streamline revenue cycles.
• The position is fully remote and open to candidates from various LATAM countries and Canada.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 3 years focused on payment systems and revenue cycle management.
• Knowledge of billing processes and experience optimizing payment flows in the financial industry is required.
• Solid experience in implementing secure and compliant payment solutions is essential.
• Candidates should have expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language, as well as proficiency in JavaScript syntax.
• A strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize, is necessary.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS is required, with knowledge of GCP or Azure being a plus.
• Candidates should excel in designing and implementing payment processing systems and have a track record of building and maintaining APIs for financial interactions.
