Description:
The Senior Performance Engineer will be responsible for improving the performance and quality of business software by establishing a continuous testing process.
They will analyze the performance behavior of applications on each tier, identify bottlenecks, and resolve software inefficiencies by subjecting applications to different business load scenarios.
The role involves explaining why and how performance problems could occur and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure performance requirements are met.
Responsibilities include preparing and executing performance test scripts, developing testing strategies, conducting performance testing, analyzing performance metrics, and building a Performance Testing Suite for products.
Requirements:
Must have 3 to 4 years of experience in performance testing activities.
Proficiency in Performance Testing Strategy and executing performance test scripts for different types of performance testing.
Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and architecture, capacity planning, and application performance management.
Hands-on experience with Load testing tools like Apache JMeter, SiteSpeed, APM tools like NewRelic, and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana.
Experience in code profiling, memory profiling, front-end Web Page loading & rendering performance analysis, Cloud platforms, Containerization, SQL tuning, and DB monitoring.
Working knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as coding experience in Java, Python, or Ruby.
Good to have experience in building test frameworks, integrating within a CI stack, and previous Development/Automation testing experience.
