Remote Senior Perl Developer

Description:

• The Senior Perl Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale Perl applications for an asset management platform.
• They will need to perform application modifications and enhancements based on business needs.
• The developer will be required to develop clean, high-quality, and reusable codes following programming standards.
• Collaboration with the Project Manager to understand business requirements and expectations clearly.
• Staying updated with the latest trends in application development techniques and technologies.
• Providing optimal application development solutions to meet or exceed business objectives.
• Developing best practices to ensure coding efficiency and quality.
• Analyzing and resolving coding issues in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prioritizing, planning, and effectively handling multiple tasks.
• Completing assigned development tasks within deadlines.
• Reporting project status to the Manager regularly.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Perl development with expertise in Array manipulations, Perl modules, and Object-oriented Perl.
• Strong working knowledge in Perl, Linux, and Unix-based systems.
• Experience in developing database-driven web services/applications against SQL databases like Oracle or MySQL.
• Good understanding of GIT and agile practices.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming.
• Strong debugging skills and troubleshooting experience in a complex technical setup.
• Detail-focused with experience in reviewing technical documentation, diagrams, and plans.
• Curious, willing to learn, and independent attitude.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
