Description:
As a Senior Developer, you will be a key member of Future’s Platform Team, collaborating closely with the Technology & Engineering department.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of scalable, well-structured, and efficient web applications and components.
You will work on both green-field projects built from the ground up using the latest libraries and best practices, as well as maintain and improve existing code.
Reporting to the Tech Lead, you will oversee the planning of new software components, refactor existing code, and collaborate with other teams to build new services and products.
You will ensure that your code is well scoped, monitored, documented, and testable, while also tracing bugs across the stack and setting up suitable tests to prevent future regressions.
Requirements:
You must have a record of delivering complex applications at scale.
Experience with object-oriented programming and related principles, such as SOLID, is required.
You should have experience with PHP and at least one other programming language, such as TypeScript or Go.
Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases is necessary.
You must have experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools and practices.
Experience in creating and running containers is required.
You should be capable of communicating updates and resolutions to customers and translating technical information for non-technical people.
Benefits:
The expected salary range for this role is £33,000 - £50,000.
