Remote Senior PHP Developer - Freelance

Description:

• The position is for a Senior PHP Developer - Freelance with a US company with a strong presence in LATAM and 20 countries worldwide.
• It is a part-time role, up to 4 hours per day (9:00 am to 1:00 pm Eastern Time).
• The developer will work with a multi-disciplinary agile team to build, maintain, and optimize web applications and APIs.
• Responsibilities include developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality web applications and APIs using PHP and Laravel, designing and implementing APIs, optimizing applications for speed and scalability, ensuring security measures, troubleshooting, and upgrading existing applications.
• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of PHP development experience, strong Laravel experience, API integration skills, proficiency in AWS, database architecture knowledge, experience with version control systems, familiarity with front-end technologies, and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Key skills required include a passion for clean code, testing, and continuous integration, experience in a collaborative agile environment, strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and English proficiency at B2 level or above.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with PHP development, Laravel, and MySQL.
• Strong experience with Laravel is a must.
• Experience building, integrating, and maintaining APIs.
• Proficiency with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of MySQL and database architecture.
• Experience with Git and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• English B2 level or above is required.
