An international company specializing in the development of modern operating systems for hosting providers is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join its team.
The company's products are used by thousands of companies around the world, including Dell, GoDaddy, IBM, and Zoom.
You will be working on the fastest growing product that provides automatic kernel security updates without rebooting for the most popular Linux distributions.
The position offers a completely remote work environment with a flexible schedule, allowing you to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.
Your tasks will include optimizing WordPress sites, developing, debugging, and diagnosing WordPress plugins, and maintaining WordPress itself.
You will lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of high-traffic WordPress projects.
You will design and implement scalable backend architectures using PHP and modern tools.
You will oversee complex database structures and optimize performance using MySQL/MariaDB and Redis/Memcached.
You will ensure code reliability through robust test automation practices.

Requirements:

You must have 5+ years of experience with PHP in a production environment.
A middle level of expertise in WordPress is required.
You should have experience in creating WordPress plugins, themes, or making changes to the Core WordPress.
You must be able to understand and analyze code written in JavaScript for the front-end part.
Experience with MySQL/MariaDB databases is necessary.
Familiarity with Apache, Nginx, or LightSpeed is preferred.
You should have experience in writing unit/integration tests with PHPUnit or similar frameworks.
An intermediate or higher level of experience with Linux OS is required.
Experience with automation tools such as Docker, Ansible, or Jenkins is necessary.
You should have experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
A B2 level of English proficiency is required.

Experience with Joomla or Drupal will be considered an advantage.
Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and scaling, such as AWS or GCP, is a plus.
Experience in implementing performance testing and load testing tools, such as JMeter or Locust, will be beneficial.
