Description:

  • Holycode is looking for a Senior PHP (Symfony) Developer to join the Bexio team, which has developed a leading bookkeeping system for SMEs in Switzerland with over 70,000 paying customers.
  • The tool allows users to manage various administrative tasks efficiently, including invoicing, project tracking, bookkeeping, payroll, and collaboration with bookkeepers.
  • The role involves developing software for transformative projects from inception through implementation.
  • Responsibilities include analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining application systems while working on complex tasks and project assignments.
  • The developer will gather, analyze, and translate business and non-functional requirements into solution designs.
  • The position requires designing, developing, and maintaining application code in line with current development and project management methodologies and practices.
  • Providing operational support is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in PHP software development, specifically with the Symfony framework.
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is required.
  • Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD) is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns is essential.
  • Candidates should have a strong focus on code testing, including Unit and Functional tests.
  • Experience in refactoring and modernizing legacy systems is required.
  • Proficiency in REST, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
  • Candidates must have very good knowledge of relational databases, specifically Postgres and MySQL.
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and ELK is required.
  • Knowledge of noSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra is a nice-to-have.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Candidates should have very good documentation skills, including writing readme files and documenting solutions.
