Remote Senior PHP (Yii) developer

Description:

• We are looking for a Senior PHP developer to join us.
• Our client is an e-commerce start-up providing grocery chains and independent grocery retailers a complete omni-channel ordering and delivery solution, seeking help to grow our business.
• The role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications and services using PHP, with a focus on the Yii2 framework.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing efficient and scalable backend systems and APIs, collaborating with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders, writing clean and maintainable code, troubleshooting and testing core product software, and participating in code reviews.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on the Yii framework.
• Proven experience in backend development, including database design, optimization, and RESTful API development is required.
• Solid experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL, and writing optimized SQL queries is necessary.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, is expected.
• Good English language skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team are required.
