The role is for a Senior PHP/Laravel Backend Developer based in the Philippines, working full-time from 9am to 5:30pm Brisbane Australia Timezone (GMT+10).
The salary for this position is up to $3000 AUD per month.

The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend systems using Laravel and will collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other team members.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and APIs, modernizing legacy PHP applications, optimizing application performance, leading code reviews, and ensuring application security.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in PHP Backend Development, including experience with older versions of PHP (5.5+), is required.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Laravel is necessary.
Candidates should possess deep knowledge of Laravel, REST APIs, SQL Databases, deployment & versioning (Git), and modern development workflows.
Experience in writing unit and integration tests is essential.
Candidates must be able to own backend architecture and collaborate effectively with frontend and DevOps teams.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage priorities effectively is required.
Comfort with the Linux command line is necessary.
Desirable skills include experience with React, Mobx/Redux, MaterialUI/SASS, Typescript, Nodejs, and developing applications in a containerized environment using tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
