Description:

Zigzag is looking for a Senior Platform App Engineer to join their team.
The role involves developing and maintaining the technology platform for the website and mobile applications.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining foundational features such as internal APIs, payments, authentication, and authorization.
The engineer will lead and guide technical decisions within the team and contribute technical knowledge regarding the direction of Peatix's web apps.
The position is fully remote, with dayshift hours and weekends off according to Manila time.

Requirements:

Candidates must have basic knowledge of or be willing to learn Perl.
Experience in Ruby and Java is required.
Candidates should have experience in API integration, particularly with payment processing platforms.
Experience in designing architecture for and building interactive web applications is necessary.
Familiarity with Stripe or other payment processing platforms is required.
Candidates should have a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion and contributing opinions on technical feasibility and implementations of upcoming features.
The ability to write code with a focus on maintenance, scalability, and stability is essential.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work as part of a team are required.
Nice to haves include experience with Git and GitHub, familiarity with Docker, experience with AWS, and conversational level Japanese or above.
