Description:
The Senior Platform Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable platforms supporting the technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes-based deployments in Azure, AWS, and air-gapped/edge environments.
Utilize GitOps and Continuous Delivery methodologies, with a preference for Flux CD, to ensure seamless deployment processes.
Create CI/CD pipelines and templates, preferably using Gitlab CI/CD.
Collaborate with development teams to build, deploy, and manage API and analytical microservices in Python or Java.
Integrate and manage data streaming and messaging platforms like Kafka.
Monitor system health using Prometheus and Grafana.
Design and manage databases like Postgres, Clickhouse, and Redis for high availability and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
Implement best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
Provide guidance to developer teams for implementing platform components in software applications and DevOps processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and DevSecOps, focusing on Kubernetes deployments.
Strong expertise in managing cloud and cloud-native services in Azure and AWS.
Experience with air-gapped or edge environments, particularly related to Kubernetes clusters.
Proficiency in GitOps and Continuous Delivery, preferably using Flux CD.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and templates, preferably using Gitlab CI/CD.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience in developing API and analytical microservices in Python or Java.
Familiarity with Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Postgres, Clickhouse, and Redis.
