Description:
Lyka is an Australian pet wellness company focused on improving the health and lifespan of pets by providing nutritionally balanced, wholefood meals.
The company has served 40 million meals to pets across Australia and aims to expand its product range and enter new markets.
They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their internal Platform team and support the delivery of pet food to customers.
The role involves contributing to a new e-commerce platform, transitioning to a microservices architecture, and enhancing technical skills across the engineering team.
Requirements:
Must have at least five years of commercial experience, preferably in start-ups or fast-paced engineering environments.
Experience deploying services on AWS, including ECS, Fargate, EC2, ALB, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code, ideally CDK & CloudFormation, and building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Development experience with Node.js (TypeScript) and observability in a microservices environment using CloudWatch & Honeycomb.
Solid networking and network security skills, including VPC, security groups, TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
Ability to mentor and convey DevOps best practices, collaborate effectively, and communicate well verbally and in writing.
Nice to have:
Experience with AWS security and compliance services and integrating security processes into the software development lifecycle.
