Remote Senior Platform Engineer

Description:

• Joining the Serval team as a Senior Engineer, you will work with a team of 5 engineers and report to the Engineering Manager at ClearBank.
• You will be responsible for identifying and improving the current architecture in line with “well architected framework” approaches.
• Building and maintaining automation in cloud technologies and growing into on-premises infrastructure hosting ClearBank gateways.
• Implementing reliable infrastructure in the cloud and server management, sharing experience with and mentoring junior team members.
• Responsible for building and running a platform to enable engineering teams to launch products faster and efficiently.
• Leveraging modern technologies to enhance ClearBank's platform offering and lead the financial industry in technology.
• Operating in a DevOps and/or Platform environment, focusing on agile principles for collaboration and innovation.
• On-call support rotation will be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge and expertise in cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with ClearBank platform technology stack including Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps yaml pipelines, Azure cloud services, API Management, App gateway, Log Analytics, and Firewalls.
• Proven track record in DevOps and/or Platform environment.
• Experience in building scalable and reliable infrastructure from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with Configuration as Code or Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and related patterns.

Desirable skills & experience:

• Software development experience in C# (.NET) & Automated testing.
• On-premises experience.
• Experience in financial services/fintech/newest financial technologies.
