Description:
As a Senior Platform Engineer at Mux, you will contribute to designing and operating the infrastructure supporting Mux's high-traffic, distributed platforms.
The Platform Engineering team collaborates cross-functionally to ensure services are scalable, reliable, and easy to operate.
You will work on improving platform services' usability through automation and tooling to enhance the velocity of product engineering teams.
Responsibilities include debugging production issues, partnering with engineering teams to develop new features, evolving engineering standards and processes, and advocating for best practices in availability, reliability, and incident management.
You will participate in roadmap planning and prioritization for key initiatives.
Requirements:
Experience in building and scaling business-critical Kubernetes infrastructure, preferably with Go programming experience.
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals like TCP/UDP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, and Linux system administration.
Ability to enhance infrastructure platforms through shared service abstractions and automation to provide a seamless user experience for development teams.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools and pipelines (Bazel, Terraform, Argo CD/Workflows/Rollouts) and infrastructure observability and monitoring tools (Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, eBPF).
Experience with HashiCorp Vault and Secrets Management.
