Remote Senior Platform Engineer, Infrastructure & Security

Description:

• Fieldguide is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for Infrastructure & Security to contribute to automating and streamlining assurance and audit processes within cybersecurity, privacy, and ESG.
• The role involves ensuring stability, resiliency, security, and performance of the infrastructure supporting the Fieldguide cloud platform.
• The engineer will collaborate with development teams and business leaders to enhance scalability and reliability, primarily working with TypeScript-based microservices, Kubernetes clusters on AWS, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing infrastructure, fostering a learning culture, serving as a subject matter expert, and coordinating with other teams on major initiatives like multi-region deployments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform, or infrastructure roles.
• Proficiency in high-uptime, globally distributed environments and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and container runtime architectures like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Knowledge of network and security concepts for business compliance, relational database design, and administration.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or a strong interest in working at a startup.
