Description:

Fieldguide is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for Infrastructure & Security to contribute to automating and streamlining assurance and audit processes within cybersecurity, privacy, and ESG.
The role involves ensuring stability, resiliency, security, and performance of the infrastructure supporting the Fieldguide cloud platform.
The engineer will collaborate with development teams and business leaders to enhance scalability and reliability, primarily working with TypeScript-based microservices, Kubernetes clusters on AWS, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing infrastructure, fostering a learning culture, serving as a subject matter expert, and coordinating with other teams on major initiatives like multi-region deployments.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform, or infrastructure roles.
Proficiency in high-uptime, globally distributed environments and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and container runtime architectures like Kubernetes.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, Python, or Go.
Knowledge of network and security concepts for business compliance, relational database design, and administration.
Previous experience in a startup environment or a strong interest in working at a startup.
