Description:
Braze is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to build, maintain, and evolve their internal infrastructure as a service platform.
The role involves applying sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to infrastructure services.
Responsibilities include partnering with engineering teams to define and implement IaaS products, developing Braze’s internal IaaS platform, and managing incidents.
The engineer will work on improving automation infrastructure reliability and empowering other engineering teams to leverage the infrastructure products created.
The technology stack includes Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
The position requires collaboration with both the team and consumer engineering teams to continuously improve the infrastructure platform.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
A strong understanding of systems, including interfaces, boundaries, edge cases, and failure modes is essential.
The ability to collaborate, document, and deliver quickly is required.
Experience in working with large-scale API-driven systems and application and systems observability is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in building and automating Kubernetes-based operators/custom resources.
A proactive attitude towards fixing issues and a desire to automate challenges faced by software engineers is important.
Excellent multitasking and expectation management skills are required.
