Description:

JumpCloud is seeking an experienced engineer to join their Platform Engineering organization.
The role involves solving challenging and complex problems using the latest tools and technologies.
Responsibilities include designing highly available systems, building tools, scaling the platform, and modernizing key components.
The platform components developed will serve as the foundation for JumpCloud and internal engineering teams.
Collaboration with other Cloud Engineering teams and engineering teams across the organization is essential.
The engineer will implement best practices, build internal developer tooling, automate processes, and optimize the developer experience for delivering distributed applications at scale.
The position offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership in delivering a core and reliable platform to customers.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of professional programming experience, with proficiency in Golang, Python, and NodeJS.
Professional experience in developing and deploying applications in a public cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including CI/CD pipelines.
Operational container orchestration experience, particularly with Kubernetes.
Experience working with highly available distributed systems is required.
Proficiency in using infrastructure as code solutions, such as Terraform.
Experience with tools for monitoring platform stability, availability, and performance, like Datadog.
A passion for addressing complex engineering problems and challenges is essential.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are necessary.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams is required.
A strong understanding of API design and microservices architecture is needed.
