The company is hiring a Senior Power BI Engineer to deliver discovery for a BI tool migration from Tableau to Power BI.
This role will also involve delivering a Proof-of-Value for Microsoft Copilot use with Power BI.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Power BI ecosystem, strong experience in data visualization, and expertise in leveraging Microsoft Copilot with Power BI to enhance analytics workflows.
The role requires a strategic thinker who can transform business requirements into actionable insights and ensure a seamless migration process.
The position is based in Atlanta but is open to being 100% remote from anywhere in the US, with a requirement to work East Coast hours.
This is a contract role with the potential to convert to full-time.
Duties include leading the migration of Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI, ensuring data integrity and visualization quality, leveraging Power BI’s integration capabilities, designing and maintaining interactive dashboards, creating optimized data models and DAX calculations, utilizing Microsoft Copilot, training team members, gathering requirements from stakeholders, collaborating with data engineers, developing documentation, and conducting training sessions for end-users.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including dashboard creation, DAX, and Power Query.
A demonstrated success in migrating Tableau reports to Power BI is required.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Copilot features within Power BI is essential.
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation is necessary.
Familiarity with ETL processes and multi-dimensional data modeling is required.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar SaaS platforms is a plus.
Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certifications in Power BI are considered a nice to have.

The position offers the flexibility of being 100% remote from anywhere in the US.
There is potential for the contract role to convert to full-time employment.
