Description:
The Senior Pre-Sales Solution Engineer at StrongDM will work with the Sales team to demonstrate the value of the StrongDM product to prospects and customers.
They will act as a trusted advisor on modern privileged access management, positioning StrongDM against competitors like Cyberark and Teleport.
Responsibilities include defining capabilities and use cases to address prospect pain points, managing proof of value (POV), and driving sales cycles to completion.
The role involves collaborating with various teams like Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support to address technical issues.
The Senior Pre-Sales Solution Engineer will be the technical expert on security, compliance, and privileged access management.
Requirements:
Must have infectious enthusiasm for technology and cybersecurity.
Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and master unfamiliar concepts.
Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM), SASE, and related network technologies.
Proficiency in tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD (Jenkins, Github), Identity Providers (Okta, Ping, Azure AD/Entra ID, AWS), AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud, and programming languages like NodeJS, Ruby, YAML, JSON, Python.
Strong analytical skills, ability to ask insightful questions, and dig deep to understand customer needs.
Excellent presentation skills to deliver engaging narratives and tailor content for different audiences.
Experience working in a tech startup or high-velocity growth culture is a plus.
