Description:

  • The Principal AI/ML Research Engineer is a key technical leader responsible for driving pioneering research in advanced AI and machine learning methodologies.
  • This role focuses on strategic areas such as Digital Twins, agent orchestration, and ontology-driven data modeling, ensuring that breakthrough research is rapidly transformed into scalable, client-ready accelerators.
  • The scientist plays an integral role in sales engagements and external thought leadership, helping to communicate and demonstrate the value of 3Pillar Global’s innovations.
  • Responsibilities include leading end-to-end research projects from conceptualization to prototype development, focusing on high-impact areas including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), self-improving AI models, and domain-specific accelerators.
  • The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, architecture, and delivery) to ensure that research findings are effectively transitioned into production-ready solutions.
  • Continuous monitoring of industry trends and emerging technologies is essential to keep 3Pillar at the forefront of AI/ML innovation.
  • The position involves active participation in sales calls, serving as a technical subject matter expert, and creating compelling, data-driven sales presentations and technical collateral.
  • The engineer will represent 3Pillar Global at industry conferences, webinars, and panel discussions, delivering presentations that showcase pioneering work in AI/ML.
  • Publishing research findings and white papers in industry journals and on public platforms is expected to enhance the company’s reputation as a leader in AI innovation.
  • Mentorship of junior researchers and contribution to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture within the innovation team is also part of the role.
  • The engineer will manage multiple research projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes while providing regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • An advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field is required.
  • Extensive industry experience in AI research or a related role, with a proven track record of developing innovative, deployable AI/ML solutions is necessary.
  • A strong publication record and experience presenting at industry conferences are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible business language are required.
  • Demonstrated experience in consulting or client-facing roles is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and relevant libraries/frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn is required.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously is essential.
