Description:

H2O.ai is seeking a Senior Principal Data Scientist to lead the design, architecture, and deployment of H2O.ai solutions within enterprise data architectures.
The role involves presenting H2O.ai technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at strategic prospects, customers, and partners.
Responsibilities include collaborating with product management, partners, and sales teams to drive innovation in H2O.ai technologies and leveraging best practices.
The candidate will partner with sales teams to understand customer needs, strategize on sales cycles, and support enterprise pilots and proof-of-concepts.
The role requires close collaboration with the Product team to influence product roadmaps based on feedback from field teams and customers.
The Senior Principal Data Scientist will also work with Sales and Marketing teams to build awareness through customer roundtables, conferences, events, blogs, webinars, and whitepapers.
The position includes contributing to the creation of reference architectures and best practices based on field experience.
The candidate will respond to technical product questions and demo key components of H2O.ai technology.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience is required.
The candidate must have 10+ years of technology architecture experience with a deep understanding of scaling applications with large data sets.
A minimum of 3+ years of customer-facing application development experience with Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and expert knowledge of Kubernetes is required.
Experience in producing technical architecture diagrams for various infrastructures with multiple components and deployment strategies is necessary.
Outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences are essential.
A broad range of experience with on-prem and/or cloud software is required.
Consultative selling experience is considered an asset.
Proficiency in programming languages (R, Python, Java) for machine learning is necessary, with strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with data munging and machine learning libraries.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
The candidate should be a self-starter, able to work without supervision.
Experience with H2O.ai is a plus.
