Freenome is a high-growth biotech company focused on developing tests to detect cancer through a standard blood draw.
The company utilizes a multiomics platform that combines tumor and non-tumor signals with machine learning to identify cancer in its earliest stages.
The first screening test developed by Freenome targets colorectal cancer (CRC) and advanced adenomas.
The Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineer II will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of cybersecurity measures for medical device software, hardware, and digital solutions.
This role involves collaboration with product development teams, product management, corporate InfoSec, regulatory, quality, and compliance teams to ensure products meet cybersecurity and privacy standards.
The position is remote and reports to the Director of Software Engineering.

Requirements:

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, and/or work experience is required.
A minimum of 6 years of related work experience within the medical device or in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) sector is necessary.
Experience in product cybersecurity, particularly in designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions for medical devices or related healthcare technology, is essential.
A deep understanding of healthcare regulations and standards affecting medical device cybersecurity is required.
Proficiency in security architectures, encryption technologies, identity and access management, and network security is necessary.
Experience with risk management methodologies and security assessment tools is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The target salary range for new hires in the US is $161,925 - $247,000.
Employees will be eligible to receive pre-IPO equity and cash bonuses.
