Description:
GameChanger is seeking a Senior Product Data Analyst for their Emerging Sports group, which focuses on sports other than baseball and softball.
The role involves diving deep into metrics to assess product market fit in new sports, such as basketball, and investigating user characteristics for successful coverage producers in volleyball.
The analyst will help GameChangers learn to data self-serve during Analytics office hours and will be responsible for tracking and technology improvements.
Responsibilities include partnering with engineers and product managers to design experiments, providing guidance on tracking for web and mobile app experiences, and monitoring business trends to recommend focus areas.
The analyst will analyze the effectiveness of product initiatives, build interactive reporting in Looker and Hex, and establish a common vocabulary for metrics and dimensions.
The position requires strong communication skills to educate stakeholders and prioritize analytics projects within the Emerging Sports group.
Requirements:
Candidates must have product analytics experience and be experts in SQL and relational databases, including window functions and CTEs.
Proficiency in BI tools and data visualization is required, along with experience in programming languages such as Python or R.
Familiarity with Snowplow or other tracking solutions and engineering development processes (Git, code review, version control) is necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment is crucial.
Experience in a cross-functional and stakeholder-focused data role is required.
Bonus qualifications include proficiency in the current data tech stack (Snowflake, Hex, Snowplow, dbt, Statsig, Looker, Kubit) and experience with experimental design.
