Remote Senior Product Engineer (Python)

Description:

• Arbor is seeking a Senior Product Engineer (Python) to join their AI team and develop robust, secure, and scalable APIs and services for AI features.
• The role involves collaborating with the Head of AI and Principal Product Engineer to create a platform for embedding Generative AI into Arbor products and workflows.
• Responsibilities include supporting feature teams in implementing AI features, researching new Python libraries and AI models, and producing well-architected and efficient code.
• The engineer will take a leadership role in code reviews, mentor colleagues, and participate in tech talks to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have extensive experience with Object-Oriented Python and proven expertise in software development.
• A solid understanding of software engineering principles such as SOLID and DRY is required.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code in a cloud environment, ideally using Terraform, is necessary.
• Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for leveraging proprietary and open-source LLMs and have familiarity with function calling in agentic workflows.
• Data expertise, including relational database technologies and data warehousing, is essential.
• A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to collaborate with team members is expected.
• Good written and spoken English skills are required for effective communication.
