PointClickCare is a leading North American healthcare technology platform focused on meaningful care collaboration and real-time patient insights.
The Senior Product Security Engineer is responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating product security issues while collaborating with the product team to detect potential issues in production.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining detection rules, advising product teams on security best practices, collaborating with the incident response team, analyzing security data, developing and managing security tools, integrating threat intelligence, reporting on threats, collaborating with other security professionals, and continuously improving threat detection methodologies.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required; certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker are a plus.
A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in software engineering and/or cyber security, focusing on product security, app security, threat hunting, and incident response is required.
Expert-level understanding of software engineering skills with Java, C#, or other object-oriented languages, with a focus on app security best practices is necessary.
Proficiency in using security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and knowledge of OWASP Top 10 is essential.
Strong scripting skills in languages like Python or PowerShell are highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to identify and mitigate threats are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is essential.
