Description:

Sanity is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer who can balance hands-on security work with holistic product security responsibilities.
This role will be instrumental in strengthening and developing the company's security posture while supporting compliance initiatives and vendor management.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical security skills and the ability to manage programs across security, compliance, and vendor ecosystems.
The position involves empowering creators, developers, and businesses to focus on their strengths while ensuring the protection of their digital assets.
The role is not a Security Operations Center (SOC) position and does not require on-call duties, although participation in addressing security incidents is expected.
Responsibilities include proactive security work integrated into the product development process, collaborating with teams to embed security from the beginning.
The role reports directly to the head of SRE and offers a clear path for growth with the potential for significant organizational impact.

Requirements:

Candidates must be based in the US, Canada, or Europe.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering roles as an individual contributor is required.
Experience with product security principles and practices is essential.
Familiarity with GCP and BigQuery is necessary.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and engage with customers are required.
Candidates should be self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Experience managing secrets and tokens in software environments is a must.
Familiarity with SOC 2 Type 2 compliance requirements and processes, experience with Wazuh, Trivy, and other OSS security tools, proficiency in TypeScript and Golang, startup experience, and a growth mindset are considered nice to have.
