Description:

Snyk is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer with expertise in application security, cloud native services, and DevSecOps practices.
The role involves building and shaping technical capabilities and security practices within Snyk’s global Product Security division.
Responsibilities include building innovative solutions, collaborating with architecture and engineering teams, defining security guardrails, performing threat models and code reviews, engineering self-service security testing solutions, and developing continuous security monitoring capabilities.
The position reports to the Application Security Lead and is integral to supporting Snyk’s rapid growth.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 3+ years of experience working in cross-functional engineering teams that follow DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
The ability to articulate security as a business enabler is essential.
Proficiency in scripting or coding in at least one programming language is required.
A working knowledge of cloud native ecosystems such as AWS and GCP is necessary.
Experience in writing solid test cases and documentation is expected.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53 is important.
Candidates should have experience defining security standards and procedures.
The ability to work independently in a remote setting is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
